Petals ran for her life from a small farm operation apparently. She ripped the ear tag out of her ear doing so too.  We’re grateful that Animal Control was able to capture her and insisted on a safe forever home for her. We took Petals to Purdue Large Animal Hospital for her spay surgery immediately. During her overnight stay, she figured out how to let herself out of her stall and was roaming the hospital, a skill of hers apparently. Petals hasn’t quite made a close friend yet. Although she does mingle during the day with all the other pigs, she still enjoys sleeping in her own stall. She is the queen of completely burrowing in the straw. With time, she’ll have a close pal. Petals is a Hereford pig, her markings are like the Hereford cow. Petals is sweet, friendly, and smart!
