KT Wantland

Director

KT joined the PEAK board in January 2023. A lifelong animal lover, she made the switch to vegetarianism–and later veganism–after adopting her first companion animal, a cat named Kansas, in 2013.

KT received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington in 2015, and has since has been working in buying for a corporate retailer in Southern Indiana. KT is an Indiana Master Naturalist. In addition to her work with PEAK, she enjoys spending time volunteering for local nature preserves and other environmental non-profits in her area. She hopes to pursue further education in non-profit management, and eventually turn her passion for animals and the environment into a career in order to better the lives of our fellow animals around the world.

When not working or volunteering, KT enjoys spending time with her husband (David), their two rescued companion cats, Ferdinand and the aforementioned Kansas, as well as reading and going on hikes.
