Leo was rescued from a religious ritual in Brooklyn, NY in September 2017. He is a Cornish mix breed, and was brought into the world to be used for “meat.” This breed is bred to grow very large very fast. By nine months old, he was already over 13 pounds. At PEAK, we will keep him on a strict diet and allow him plenty of room for exercise to try to counter his genetics as much as possible. Leo is the MOST curious and likes to be front and center of the flock. Leo will climb on our laps and relax too. He is the best at searching out food around the sanctuary. Leo hangs out with his pals Ren and Fillmore (The Footloose Flock) all day. He snuggles with them in a big pile at night to stay warm. Leo will have the longest, best life he can possibly have here at PEAK.
