Fillmore was rescued from a religious ritual in Brooklyn, NY in September 2017. He is a Cornish mix breed, and was brought into the world to be used for “meat.” This breed is bred to grow very large very fast. By nine months old, he was already over 13 pounds. At PEAK, we will keep him on a strict diet and allow him plenty of room for exercise to try to counter his genetics as much as possible. Fillmore is sweet and affectionate. He spends most of his days in the main barn with his flock, Ren and Leo (The Footloose Flock). The three love to scratch around in the pig and cow beds, We’re grateful that Fillmore will spend his days with lots of love, the freedom to explore, and with so many friends.
