Our very first Visiting Day in Freedom is August 19th. The following months we’ll be open on September 30th and October 28th.
You MUST pre-register for a tour and pay $10 in advance. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Closed-toe shoes are required!
PEAK Members are always FREE. Children 3 and under are FREE.
On an Educational Tour you will be introduced to our animal residents, learn about their rescue stories, personalities, friendships and more. We’ll share information about how animals are treated in the animal agriculture system too. Our residents interact with guests on their terms and we expect that all visitors respect their preferences and personal space. This is their home. A tour lasts about an hour. We reserve the right to cancel or adapt a tour based on weather, animal comfort concerns, etc.
Following the tour you can walk the property, enjoy your packed vegan lunch at a picnic table (we do not allow dairy, animal flesh, eggs or honey on the property), shop for PEAK lovin’ merchandise, and/or read through educational material.
If you wish to go into the animals’ pastures you MUST wear closed-toe shoes.
Food and Beverages
Visitors are welcome to bring their own vegan lunch to enjoy at our picnic tables. Out of respect for our residents and our mission we do not allow animal meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or any animal by-products on the Sanctuary grounds. If you have questions about vegan options, please do not hesitate to contact us!
For everyone’s safety companion animals are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds at any time, nor can you leave them in a vehicle during a tour.
If you are an educator or group leader and would like to schedule a special group tour of 15+ people, please contact us by phone at 812-896-2114.
